TIME KEEPING

Please arrive five minutes before the start of your session. If you are late your session time may be reduced to fit into the agreed appointment time slot. This is to ensure students that are booked in after you are not delayed and that their session is not disrupted.

GENERAL

Students must declare any physical and or medical limitations which may affect their ability to participate in our sessions. Should your condition change or you experience any physical issues, you are responsible for informing us.

Students assume responsibility for checking with their medical practitioner, physiotherapist, or other health care professional for medical readiness prior to participating in any of our sessions.

We kindly request, out of respect for other students (and the staff), that mobile phones and all other communication devices are not used during class, except in case of emergency.

Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted in a class.

PREGNANCY

Please advise if you are pregnant. This will be kept strictly confidential. We wouldn’t want to spoil your surprise, however we do need to look after you in your session. Positive Pilates is fully trained in Pre and Post Natal Pilates.

CLOTHING

Be mindful in what you wear. Clothing should be comfortable, stretchable and a fabric that is good for sweating in – wicking fabrics that move moisture away from the body are best. Think of the poses you will be in. For obvious reasons, if you are wearing loose shorts, please ensure you are wearing lycra leggings or something similar under your shorts.

SOCKS

Positive Pilates is now a sock studio – at least until you get to your mat. Socks must be worm for Equipment Pilates. Socks should be non-slip / grip socks, we carry some stock however they are easily available via retailers and online shops such as Amazon.

HOLIDAYS AND HALF TERM

We are open throughout the majority of the year including half terms. The only days that we will close are on public Bank Holidays such as May Day, Easter and during the Christmas holidays. We do believe in having balance in our lives and recommend the same for our students. Therefore Positive Pilates operates for 48 out of the 52 weeks of the year and our charges are set accordingly.

REFER A FRIEND

There may be various offers throughout the year for ‘Refer a Friend’.

MEDIAL REFERRALS

Referrals from medical professionals must be accompanied by a referral letter. You can ask your medical professional for a letter or the studio has a template for you to print out and take with you for your GP / Consultant / Physiotherapist / Osteopath / Chiropractor to sign and return to us.
